“Be Here Now”

.“Be Here Now” is a visual exploration and meditation of sitting in stillness with ourselves in the present moment. The wisdom of acceptance, impermanence, and trust woven with seasons, the breath, our interconnectedness is examined through the strokes and granules of the painting process.

Mindfulness is not only woven into the strokes and the paintings, but the pigment itself to enrich the journey.  Much of the paints were derived from natural pigment found or foraged in Tuscany, Italy, patiently ground and mixed as part of the meditation process to create the watercolor paint. Organic to this paint making process is the movement, and separation of the earth from the water in the painting itself.
