What If…
Sometimes, we can grow so used to the noise around us that it feels like a second skin. The noise of distractions, to-do lists, inner critic, regrets, doubt, fears, reactivity.
Sometimes, the noise becomes so familiar that silence seems scary.
So we seek out more noise to drown out what may surface through the silence.
And yet, we feel drained.
Lonely.
Despite the constant noise.
Or maybe because of it.
Because what we miss in the comforting clamor is wisdom that arises after the discomfort of the present moment. We forget that we are strong enough to sit through the discomfort of boredom, of not reaching for a distraction, of what emotions might finally have room to breathe when we turn down the volume knob.
If we can sit long enough for the discomfort to move through, something else may find us. Or rather, we may find ourselves again.
“What If” is a painting within the collection titled “A Remembrance of Our Interconnectedness” that reminds us of what may arise if we give ourselves some space from the daily noise.
“A Remembrance of Our Interconnectedness” is an art collection that speaks to our shared humanity and interwoven existence.

What If
Loneliness was the sound of noise
The cacophony of everyday life
And connection was the melody
In between the silence
Of the sky and trees
The rustling leaves
The conversations of birds
Reminding you
That you are a part of
A collective song
There is the noise of life, the noise of the every day, the noise of your mind. And yet a different voice can be heard in between the silence of the early morning before the rest of the world wakes up. Or under the starlit, indigo skies after the world has found its sleep. There, between the sounds of the birds, the breeze, the crickets, there you can find a reminder that you are actually not alone. That you, divine and beautiful you, are a wondrous part of this collective thing we call life.
This guided mindfulness meditation offers a slowing down, letting the noise settle, and reconnecting with the quiet wisdom and connection that can emerge in stillness.
